2026 guide to Quebec fishing lodges (pourvoiries) with full services: lodging, cabins, boats, meals and guides. Comparison by region and experience type.
Quebec fishing lodges: what you need to know
Quebec has over 600 outfitter lodges (pourvoiries) across all regions, from rustic cabins to all-inclusive lodges with guide, meals, and boat. An exclusive rights outfitter (DE) gives private access to a fishing territory; non-exclusive outfitters (SDE) operate on shared public land. Most offer packages combining lodging + fishing access + sometimes floatplane transport. Typical costs: $150-400 CAD/day/person for a full package in regular season, $500-1500 CAD/day for high-end Northern Quebec lodges (Schefferville, Ungava).
Types of fishing lodges
Exclusive rights outfitters (DE)
Private territory granted by MFFP. Generous limits, low fishing pressure, traditional fishing camp atmosphere. Cabin or central lodge accommodation. ~$150-300/day.
Non-exclusive outfitters (SDE)
On public territory (ZEC, Crown land). Paid access, but shared with other anglers. Basic to full lodge accommodation. ~$80-200/day.
Northern Quebec lodges
Accessible by floatplane only. Atlantic salmon, landlocked salmon, Arctic char. All-inclusive package: guide, boat, gourmet meals, floatplane. $500-2000/day + flights. Season: June to September.
