Zec Des Passes
The Alex River, located in the Zec Des Passes in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, is a favored spot for fishing walleye and trout. Access to this controlled exploitation zone is free, but a modest daily access fee is required, along with mandatory registration at the entrance. Anglers can also take advantage of camping or cabin options available in the ZEC. This initiative, managed by a non-profit association of local fishermen, promotes conservation and sustainable hunting-fishing practices.
