The Rimouski Est River (Upstream) - Pool 1, located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent ZEC, is a free-access fishing spot where anglers can target trout. Access requires registration at the entrance and a modest daily access fee, typically between $10 and $25. In addition to fishing, the ZEC offers camping facilities and cabins. Anglers are encouraged to adhere to the conservation rules and sustainable fishing practices established by the local non-profit association managing the ZEC.
