Valley Stream, located in the Zec Frémont in Mauricie, is a stream favored for trout fishing. Access is free, but a modest daily access fee is required for anglers wishing to enjoy this controlled exploitation zone. Visitors must register upon entry and can also consider camping or renting cabins available in the ZEC. This site is managed by a nonprofit association of local anglers, which ensures the conservation of resources and the practice of sustainable fishing.

Modification of the length limit for walleye in ZEC Mitchinamecus: from 37 to 53 cm inclusively. Implementation of a lenght limit for walleye in ZEC Lesueur: from 32 to 47 cm inclusively. Modification of the fishing season for lake trout in ZECs Collin and Lavigne: opens on the last Friday in June.
